Close up flower shot

This photo was taken at Upton House in the beautiful gardens full of bright flowers which could be described as a macro photographers paradise. This particular flower took my attention because of the textured petals and bright yellow centre. I set my camera to aperture priority in order to dial in an aperture of F11. This gave me a deep enough depth of field to have the petals and the centre of the flower in focus but shallow enough to blur the background. After a quick edit to the contrast to make the colours even nicer this well textured shot came out pretty nice.
